Our Supplier Code of Conduct

At Ruff Supplied, our purpose goes beyond what we make, it’s about how we make it.

We believe that business should be a force for good: protecting people, respecting the planet, and empowering communities. Every product we create is shaped by the people we trust, and those relationships matter deeply to us.

This Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the standards, ethics, and expectations that guide every partnership we form. It applies to all suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors who work with us, anywhere in the world. Every partner we work with signs and agrees to these principles as a condition of doing business with Ruff Supplied.

It’s how we make sure our values aren’t just words on paper, but actions we live by, every day.

2. Ethical and Fair Working Conditions

We expect every person contributing to our products to be treated fairly and with respect.

Our partners are required to:

  • Prohibit child or forced labour: Employment must always be voluntary and in compliance with local and international labour laws.
  • Provide safe, healthy workplaces: All workers must have access to clean facilities, safe equipment, and proper protective gear.
  • Offer fair wages and reasonable hours: Pay must meet or exceed local minimum standards.
  • Support freedom of voice and representation: Workers must be free to communicate openly, raise concerns, and organise if they choose.
  • Foster inclusion and equality: Discrimination of any kind is never acceptable. All employment decisions must be based on ability, not background or belief.

Every supplier we work with must maintain accurate documentation of employment practices and ensure all workers are treated ethically and lawfully.

 

3. Environmental Commitment

Sustainability isn’t an afterthought, it’s part of our DNA.

We’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint and working with partners who share that vision. 

Our commitment includes:

  • Responsible sourcing: Preference for recycled, low-impact, or certified sustainable materials.
  • Eco-conscious packaging: We encourage recyclable, compostable, or plastic-free solutions wherever possible.
  • Waste and emissions management: Partners must comply with all environmental laws.
  • Energy efficiency and innovation: We support and celebrate partners who are taking steps toward carbon neutrality, renewable energy, or innovative waste reduction practices.

4. Integrity and Transparency

We hold ourselves and those we work with to the highest standards of honesty and accountability.

We expect all partners to:

  • Reject corruption and bribery: No facilitation payments, kickbacks, or unethical incentives are tolerated.
  • Comply with trade and data laws: All partners must follow relevant export, customs, and privacy regulations.
  • Protect confidentiality: Any shared information, intellectual property, or design is to be safeguarded and used only as intended.

Integrity is non-negotiable, it’s what keeps trust at the centre of every partnership.

 

5. Respecting Communities and Culture

We believe in business that uplifts, not exploits.

We’re deeply aware of the role our work plays in local and global communities and expect our partners to:

  • Respect the rights and heritage of local and Indigenous people.
  • Avoid any practices that negatively impact land, water, or livelihoods.
  • Engage with openness and cultural understanding in every location they operate.

6. Accountability and Continuous Improvement

We understand that responsible business is a journey. We’re committed to walking that path alongside our partners; always learning, improving, and holding ourselves accountable.

  • Every supplier or manufacturer we engage must sign and uphold this Code of Conduct.
  • Partners must maintain clear documentation, report issues promptly, and act transparently when challenges arise.
  • If a supplier is found to be non-compliant, we work collaboratively on a corrective action plan, but serious or unremedied breaches may result in termination of the partnership.

We also encourage our partners to take proactive steps toward improvement, whether that’s better environmental outcomes, enhanced worker welfare, or new ethical innovations.
